This Time-Saving Technology has been newly developed by Toshiba as part of its unique development process. A previously unthought-of function offers extra time to everyone involved in carrying out examination and treatment.
The Infinix-i Series utilizes its powerful calculation functions to achieve a multitask processing. Image processing, analysis, filming, and other tasks can be performed concurrently with fluoroscopy or radiography. Images of a patient other than the person being examined can also be processed. In addition, data transmission to and downloading from a network (DICOM compatible) and recording of images on CD-R or other media can also be performed as background tasks. This simultaneity makes it possible to use time more efficiently, so that all data will have been processed by the end of the examination and improves the patient throughput drastically.
The Infinix-i Series broadly covers the DICOM standard. PREVISION allows the retrieval of images of past examinations on the basis of patient attributes from a DICOM image server or a DICOM image medium such as CD-R onto a digital system at the time the appointment for an examination is input. This promotes efficient preparation for an examination, while the loaded image can be used as a reference image during the examination.

The system uses a Hyper-Handle which can be intuitively operated in the examination room. Rotation of the C arm, vertical movement of the catheter table, detector movement, and so on can all be performed with one hand. A one-touch switch which operates frequently-used functions in the examination room with a single touch helps the radiologist maintain a rhythm. In addition, a graphical user interface (GUI) capable of all required digital operations allows procedures to be carried out even in the absence of an assistant in the control room. The entire system can be controlled by one person.

The high-speed rotation of the Infinix-i Series C arm is both flexible and stable. During normal use, high-speed rotation of up to 30 degrees per second assures a rhythmical examination. In addition, the 3D-Angio mode* permits a certain grasp of the arterial phase with a high-speed rotation of 40 degrees per second (highest possible rotation 50 degrees*).

Following workflow of examination, each unit is synchronized with setting for image mapping, C-arm positioning and exposure protocol programming.
